Subject merupakan pelaku yang mengerjakan suatu kegiatan atau pekerjaan. Subject yang digunakan biasanya adalah manusia. Dan berikut adalah macam-macam klasifikasi subject :

1. Noun (N)
Sebagai Noun (N)
Example :
- Students were in class
- Children were in the swimming pool

Sebagai Noun Phrase (NP)
Example :
- My father bought me a car
- My friend lent me money

Sebagai Noun Clause (NC)
Example :
- What you said is true
- What she told is wrong

Sebagai Pronoun (P)
